The small print
Privacy, plainly.
A short guide to what Nopebook remembers, what it measures, and what stays yours.
Who runs Nopebook
Nopebook is a personal project run by Marko Nikolajevic. For questions about this notice or your information, contact me through markonikolajevic.dev.
The tracker stays in your browser
Applications, companies, roles, dates, progress, and preferences you enter in the tracker are saved in this browser’s local storage. They are not sent to a Nopebook account or synced to a server. The rejection translator also works in your browser; text you paste there is not sent to a translation service. Clearing this browser’s site data removes the saved tracker information. A backup you download is created in your browser and saved to your device; restoring one reads the file in your browser. Neither uploads it anywhere.
Site analytics
I use Vercel Web Analytics to understand overall site traffic and improve Nopebook. Vercel says its analytics does not use third-party cookies or store a visitor’s IP address with an event. It may process information such as the page or route visited, referrer, approximate location, and browser or device type. A short-lived visitor identifier is derived from the incoming request and discarded after 24 hours.
Analytics is used for aggregated statistics, not advertising or cross-site profiling. Please don’t put sensitive information in a URL or in anything you submit to the site.
Where data protection law applies, the purpose is to understand and improve the site. The legal basis I rely on is legitimate interests in measuring site use, balanced against visitors’ privacy. Tracker entries remain in your browser until you clear them. Vercel’s retention of analytics events follows its service and project settings; its reporting window is described in its Analytics limits and pricing documentation.
Vercel provides the analytics service. Read Vercel’s Analytics privacy details and Vercel’s privacy notice for more about its processing.
Cookies and browser storage
Nopebook does not use advertising cookies. The tracker uses local storage only to remember the information you choose to save, and Vercel Web Analytics says it does not use third-party cookies. You can remove local storage by clearing site data in your browser settings.
Your choices and rights
You can choose what to enter in the tracker and clear its saved data at any time in your browser. If data protection law applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, or object to the processing of your personal data. Contact me using the link above to ask a question or make a request. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
